STEPS IN THE BUILDING PROCESS WITH
UNIQUE HOMES
Our color coordinators meet with the homeowners to assist them in making their exterior and interior choices for their home. Customers may visit the websites listed to see available products and to get ideas.
STEP 1:
After
the contract has been signed and before the framing has been started, an EXTERIOR MEETING will be scheduled. During the exterior meeting, color and style choices will be made for the following:
Designs and Plans for Your Home
Roof
Shingles, Shakes, Siding, Brick and Stone
Soffit,
Fascia, Gutters, Downspouts, Vents, Fypons, Shutters, and Porch Posts
Windows,
Exterior Doors, Sidelights, Transoms, and Door Hardware
STEP 2: After the foundation
has been started, an INTERIOR MEETING will be held. During the
interior meeting, color and style choices will be made for the following
items:
Interior
Doors, Trim, and Hardware

Cabinets,
Pulls, Knobs, and Countertops
Fixtures,
Faucets, Mirrors, and Medicine Cabinets
Fireplace
Mantel, Finish, and Surround
Appliances
Flooring:
Carpet, Hardwood, Vinyl, Tile, Marble, and Grout Colors
Paint:
Walls, Ceilings, Closets, Doors and Trim
Stain: Trim,
Doors, and Stair Parts
Lights and
Lighting Layout for Interior and Exterior Fixtures
Our meetings are usually held in our showroom located at 2402
South 18th Street in Charleston, Illinois where all samples are
available for selection and coordination.
No products will be ordered until these meetings have been
held and the customer has approved and signed the color chart.
